Two new character stills from Dune: Part Three have been revealed, showcasing Robert Pattinson as Scytale and Anya Taylor-Joy as Alia Atreides, unveiling their respective character looks.
Scytale has pale skin and short white hair, with slender dark tubes extending from his cheeks to near his upper lip. He wears dark clothing with a light brown vest, blending the practicality of desert gear with a cold, laboratory-like aesthetic. The character is a Face Dancer from Bene Tleilax capable of altering his appearance, and he is involved in a conspiracy against Paul.
Pattinson stated that he wanted Scytale to have a distinctly alien, non-human feel, while director Denis Villeneuve initially considered keeping the actor's natural appearance. In another still, Alia wears a white hooded cloak against a background of blue-green patterns, creating a calm, almost sacred atmosphere that contrasts with the character's dangerous nature.
Alia only appeared through visions and consciousness sequences in Dune: Part Two, but Dune: Part Three will feature her more fully. Inspired by Dune Messiah, the story takes place after Paul seizes power and launches a jihad. The film is scheduled for theatrical and IMAX release on December 18, 2026.
