The Pokémon Company has revealed new cards included in the "Waveguide Seeker" expansion pack for Pokémon Trading Card Game MEGA. Among them, the special illustration rare card "Crasher Wake's Passion" features artwork drawn by Tetsuo Hara, the creator of Fist of the North Star.
The card art showcases Crasher Wake's imposing presence through muscular definition and numerous afterimages of his arms, a composition Hara described as evoking the feeling of the "Thousand Hands Afterimage Fist." The official site also released a commemorative interview. Hara, who previously illustrated the "Floatzel ex" card, jokingly asked players to look forward to a potential third collaboration in the interview.
Other newly revealed cards include Floatzel ex, Quagsire, and the regular illustration version of "Crasher Wake's Passion," with Floatzel ex capable of synergizing with Trainer cards. The expansion will also introduce a group of Pokémon featuring the "Gutsy Battle" attack; Hawlucha's Ability reduces the amount of Colorless Energy required for allied Pokémon to use this move.
Currently revealed Pokémon include Machamp, Medicham, Hitmontop, and Throh. "Waveguide Seeker" is scheduled for release on November 27, 2026. Each pack contains 5 cards and is priced at 200 yen (including tax).
