CD PROJEKT RED has announced that Cyberpunk 2077 will launch on Battle.net later in 2026. At the same time, a crossover collaboration between Overwatch and the anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners has been confirmed, with related content planned for release in 2027.
Amelia Korzycka, Senior Community & Social Media Manager at CD PROJEKT RED, and Miles Tost, Level Design Director, announced this news during a special panel at BlizzCon 2026. Centered around Blizzard's 30th anniversary and the partnership between the two companies, the session covered recent collaborative plans and arrangements for launching the game on the platform.
With Cyberpunk 2077 now available on Battle.net, players can purchase the base game or DLC separately, or opt for Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, which includes both. CD PROJEKT RED had previously announced that the remastered version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and its new DLC, Old Times Song, would also be coming to Battle.net.
While discussing the process of bringing Cyberpunk 2077 to Battle.net, the team further confirmed that Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 will feature a crossover collaboration with Blizzard's Overwatch. The official announcement currently only provides a 2027 timeframe, without revealing specific details or content of the collaboration.
The announcement of this collaboration coincides with the fourth anniversary of the premiere of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is scheduled to debut exclusively on Netflix on October 20, 2026, leaving some time before the Overwatch crossover content goes live.
