Digital Foundry recently conducted a technical analysis of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remaster for Nintendo Switch 2. Test results show that the game runs at 1080p resolution and 60 FPS, but does not use DLSS for image upscaling.
Based on current performance, the game maintains a relatively smooth 60 FPS experience. Digital Foundry also believes that the lack of DLSS could result in noticeable differences in final image quality, although existing information has not disclosed what specific upscaling solution the game employs.
Digital Foundry member Oliver Mackenzie stated that the game's graphics technology may come from an internally developed solution by Nintendo, or it may be built upon an engine provided by external partners. There is currently no official conclusion regarding the source of the technology.
Digital Foundry also listed Monolith Soft as a potential candidate involved in related technical work, but this remains speculative analysis. Nintendo and the relevant companies have not confirmed their involvement in development.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remaster is scheduled for release on November 5, 2026, coinciding with the 40th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda series. A themed console and Pro Controller are set to launch on October 29, with two new amiibo figures planned for release in 2027.
Regarding pre-orders, the price on Amazon Spain has dropped to €59.90, a 14% decrease. Currently disclosed product information includes the game's storage size and official price, while specific technical performance remains to be further confirmed by the release version.
