Roblox has released its latest creator earnings data: over the past year, creators on the platform collectively earned approximately $1.7 billion. However, the median income for creators participating in the Developer Exchange Program during the same period was only about $1,500, highlighting a significant gap between top earners and ordinary participants.
These figures were announced at the 2026 Roblox Developers Conference. Roblox stated that creator income distributed through the Developer Exchange Program increased by approximately 50% year-over-year. The program allows eligible creators to exchange Robux earned from games and other content for cash.
In the 12 months ending June 30, 2026, the top 10 creators earned an average of $65.7 million; the top 100 creators averaged $10.8 million, while the top 1,000 creators averaged $1.4 million.
Creators of hit games like "Plant a Garden" and "Steal the Brainrot" sit at the top of the platform, with their respective teams each earning tens of millions of dollars. However, these top-tier cases do not reflect the reality for the majority of participants.
Currently, more than 42,000 creators participate in the Developer Exchange Program. During the same reporting period, the median income for participants was approximately $1,500, meaning that at least half of the participants earned no more than this amount.
Roblox launched the Developer Exchange Program in 2013. The company stated that cumulative payments to creators through this program have exceeded $5 billion since its inception.
