Capcom has released a new demo for the major expansion "Transcendence" of Monster Hunter Wilds, highlighting enhanced moves for the Switch Axe. The expansion is planned for release in 2027.

This demonstration centers on the Switch Axe, showcasing its enhanced attack methods. Hunters can use Element Discharge to lunge forward, attacking while closing in on their target. Enhanced Switch Axe moves also include launching burst attacks to build up the Transformation Gauge and High Output Gauge. Once these gauges are filled, players can execute new combo attacks and chain into additional moves.
The revealed content primarily focuses on the Switch Axe. Capcom has not yet provided further details on other new additions in this major expansion during the demonstration. Monster Hunter Wilds is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Steam, with the Switch 2 version currently in development. The major expansion "Sublime" is currently scheduled for release in 2027.
