Rockstar Games has confirmed that Max Payne 1&2 Remake will be the company's next major title following GTA VI, with a planned release in 2027.
This remake will target modern platforms, combining the original Max Payne from 2001 and its 2003 sequel, Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne, into a single project, including the storylines of both original games.
Max Payne 1&2 Remake is being developed by Remedy Entertainment. Rockstar Games is currently focusing its main efforts on the final polishing of GTA VI's story campaign and the development of the next generation of GTA Online. Existing reports suggest that the latter is planned to operate as a standalone service.
Furthermore, Max Payne 1&2 Remake may be one of the last titles in the series to receive a physical disc release. However, this remains a possibility rather than a confirmed release plan at present.
As for Red Dead Redemption 3 or a sequel to Bully, current claims remain mere speculation among players. Rockstar Games has not officially announced any other internally developed single-player game projects.
