The Pokémon Company has unveiled a series of gold collectibles for Pokémon's 30th anniversary, including a solid gold Gholdengo figure, as well as gold leaf statues of Gholdengo and Pikachu. The solid gold figure stands 6 centimeters tall and is priced at nearly $10,000.
Gholdengo is one of the main highlights of this collection. In addition to the small solid gold figure, The Pokémon Company has created a life-sized Gholdengo statue standing approximately 3.9 feet tall, covered with around 730 sheets of gold leaf.
Pikachu also has a gold leaf statue. This statue stands about 20 inches tall and was crafted using 200 sheets of gold leaf, making it smaller in both size and gold leaf usage compared to the Gholdengo statue.
The two gold leaf statues will be on display from September 30 to October 5, 2026, on the eighth floor of Takashimaya in Yokohama, Japan, where visitors can view them in person.
