Fortnite has launched the limited-time experience "Toy Story 5: The Great Rescue," where players search for six toy companions, including Woody and Buzz Lightyear, in Bonnie's room. The event coincides with the release of Toy Story 5 on Disney+ and will run until October 5.
This event introduces a new island modeled after Bonnie's room. Designed from a toy's perspective, furniture, decorations, wardrobes, books, and other items are enlarged, transforming the entire children's bedroom into a vast space for players to explore.
In the story, a Fortnite Rift appears in the room, scattering Bonnie's favorite toys across multiple creator-made islands. Players must complete challenges corresponding to each character to retrieve Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Rex, Hamm, and Forky.
Each character has unique rescue conditions. For example, collecting horseshoes with red hearts helps players rescue Jessie; to bring Buzz Lightyear back to Bonnie's room, players must defeat opponents in an acrobatic challenge and obtain batteries.
In addition to the main rescue missions, secret areas are hidden within Bonnie's room. Upon finding these entrances, players can enter imaginative worlds such as ancient temples, castles, and spaceships to continue their exploration.
Disney and Fortnite's partnership began in 2018, subsequently adding content featuring Marvel, Star Wars, and characters from Disney and Pixar. Toy Story 5: The Great Rescue is the latest limited-time experience from this collaboration, now available and running until October 5.
