Graphic designer Ruben Ripalda has ported the Grand Theft Auto IV recompilation project to a jailbroken PS5. This version runs using an Xbox 360 disc image, allows players to import their existing save files, and includes DualSense-specific features.
This experiment is based on the Liberty Recompiled project created by OZORDI. In addition to save file import, the ported version adds trophies and adjusts in-game button prompts for the PS5 controller.
Rockstar has not yet officially brought Grand Theft Auto IV to next-generation consoles. The game can be played via backward compatibility on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, but there is no official way to play it on PS4 or PS5.
This achievement is not a port or official backward compatibility support released by Rockstar, and regular PS5 users cannot play it directly by inserting an Xbox 360 disc. Running this version requires a jailbroken PS5, recompiling the project, and using the corresponding disc image.
