BioWare Veteran Claims Most Developers Had No Say in Controversial Content for Dragon Age: The Veilguard

BioWare veteran James Ohlen recently spoke up for the general developers of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. He stated that most team members had "little to no say" in the aspects of the project that players disliked.

Ohlen previously served as Creative Director for the first two Baldur's Gate titles. After BioWare's closure and subsequent layoffs, he praised these employees as excellent RPG developers and expressed his willingness to provide career recommendations for them.

In response to the criticism surrounding Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Ohlen distinguished between ordinary team members and project decision-making responsibilities, arguing that most developers involved had no authority over the content that sparked player dissatisfaction.

The above statement is Ohlen's personal opinion regarding team accountability and does not represent the official findings of EA or BioWare. He did not further specify who exactly made those decisions.
