Sandbox Game 'Terraglass' Announced: Build Villages and Control Creatures

Teacup Worlds is developing the sandbox game Terraglass for PC on Steam. The game takes place inside a glass bottle that can sit on your computer desk, allowing players to reshape its terrain and ecosystem, and control creatures as they explore the environment you've created.

Players can pile up sand, soil, and stones to create mountains, or pour in water to form rivers. Water flows along the terrain, eroding the ground and changing river paths over time. Pouring in lava will cause lakes to boil, and the lava will form rock once it cools.

Natural phenomena within the bottle interact with each other; fire can spread across grasslands or be extinguished by rain. Players can also add creatures like fish and crabs, observe butterflies during the day, and see fireflies at night. Additionally, the game allows you to place houses and trees to build villages, and directly control villagers or animals from either a first- or third-person perspective.

The position and size of the glass bottle can be adjusted, allowing this miniature world to continue running in a corner of your desktop while you work with other applications. Terraglass does not yet have a release date, and the only language currently listed on its Steam page is English.
