The hand-built hut can even sprout chicken legs to accompany players through the forest. Reka will end its Early Access period on October 26, 2026, launching its version 1.0 on Steam with official Simplified Chinese support and delivering the final chapter of Reka and Baba Yaga's story.
This single-player adventure game blends exploration, building, and crafting mechanics. Players take on the role of Reka, apprentice to the legendary witch Baba Yaga, practicing witchcraft and discovering the secrets of the woods along their journey.
With the addition of official Simplified Chinese in version 1.0, players will be able to read Baba Yaga's teachings in Chinese, understand villager requests, and follow dialogues and quests to uncover the secrets of the forest.
The current DEMO opens up Chapter 1 of the story, allowing players to explore the forest, practice witchcraft, and begin building their own chicken-legged hut. Once version 1.0 is released, players will be able to experience subsequent chapters and the full story, following Reka and Baba Yaga's adventure to its conclusion.
The journey ahead will also bring new side quests, collectible items for your hut, and new outfits for Reka. Additional building materials will allow players to experiment with different styles for their mobile home, personalizing it further as they continue to explore.
Beyond the main story, the forests, swamps, and villages offer ample space for free exploration as a witch. Along the way, you can gather materials, discover animals and spirits, accept quests from villagers, and decide how to respond to them.
Reka is developed by Emberstorm Entertainment and published by Fireshine Games in partnership with Asian publisher Shochiku Games.
Version 1.0 launches on October 26. Players can now visit the Steam store page, click "Download Reka Demo" to try the free demo with Simplified Chinese support, or add the game to their wishlist to stay updated on the full release.
