GTA Series Actors Advise GTA 6 Leads to Cherish Players

Several actors from the Grand Theft Auto series have offered advice to the yet-to-be-officially-revealed lead actors of GTA VI, hoping they will enjoy the process of participating in the project, sincerely cherish the players, and prepare for the long-term attention following the game's release.

In an interview with All Out Gaming at MCM Comic Con, Young Maylay, the voice actor for CJ, stated that new actors should first enjoy the process of participating in the project. Shawn "Solo" Fonteno, who played Franklin, advised them to follow Rockstar's arrangements and prepare for a long journey, as it truly begins only after the game's release.

Young Maylay also discussed how each generation of games forms its own player base, with new characters growing alongside new audiences, but old characters do not fade from players' memories. Ned Luke, who played Michael, particularly emphasized that new actors should sincerely cherish the fans who support the series, as perfunctory or superficial gratitude is easily spotted, and the series' success is inseparable from its players.

Steven Ogg, the actor who played Trevor, previously stated that he is not a gaming enthusiast and does not have particularly strong feelings about the new title. Currently, Rockstar has not officially announced the names of the actors for Jason and Lucia, and player speculation regarding Lucia's actress remains unconfirmed. GTA VI is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026.
