PSA will resume its Value grading service, which has been suspended for nearly six months, on October 29, 2026, at 8:00 AM Pacific Time. The service will be available in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Japan. Pokémon Trading Card Game collectors will once again have access to submission options priced lower than the current premium tiers, but the per-card fee will increase from $32.99 before the suspension to $39.99.
The guaranteed value cap for submissions under the Value tier is $500, meaning high-value cards still require service levels that match their actual worth. Only the Value tier is being restored at this time; the lowest-priced Value Bulk tier has not yet returned.
On May 28, PSA announced the suspension of its four lower-tier services: Value Bulk, Value, Value Plus, and Value Max, with the services officially shutting down in June. At the time, there were over 10 million cards pending processing, a significant portion of which stemmed from the Pokémon card craze; in the days between the suspension announcement and the official shutdown, the company received an additional approximately 2 million cards.
PSA had previously promised to resume its lower-tier services once the backlog dropped to 5 million cards, but there were still 7.2 million cards pending when the Value tier reopened. Ryan Hoge, President of PSA and Collectors, stated that suspending certain services allowed the company to evaluate and streamline its processes while increasing processing capacity, though there is still room for improvement in the accuracy of existing orders and estimated turnaround times.
