Season 3 of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will present a previously unseen moment from The Lord of the Rings. Charlie Vickers, who plays Sauron, made this announcement in an interview but has not yet revealed the specific plot details.
It is currently unclear whether Vickers' reference to "previously unseen" applies only to the first two seasons of the show or encompasses all previous film and television adaptations of The Lord of the Rings. The relationship between this plot point and the original source material has also not been clarified.
In addition to this yet-to-be-revealed Middle-earth moment, Season 3 will also introduce characters such as Celeborn. Celeborn will be portrayed by Jamie Campbell Bower.
