Ubisoft has announced the main content of the 3.0 update for Anno 117: Pax Romana. This version will launch alongside the Dawn of the Delta expansion, adding features such as layout templates, warehouse statistics, and Extreme difficulty. The full list of fixes is scheduled to be released next week.
One of the core features of this update is the return of layout templates from Anno 1800. Players can select a construction area, save the layout as a template, then edit it and organize templates into folders. The PC version also supports moving template files via the file manager, making it easier for players to share building plans.
The Statistics menu will gain two new tabs: "Warehouses" and "Items." "Warehouses" displays cargo stock, inventory changes, and trade records for single or multiple islands; "Items" allows players to search for specialists, confirm their locations, and check how to obtain characters not yet collected. The Hall of Fame will also add an Aegyptus category with three tiers of rewards, allowing players to unlock related decorations, statues, plants, signs, and portraits without purchasing the expansion.
The 3.0 update will also increase overall goods consumption and introduce an Extreme difficulty, where resource consumption is about 75% higher than on Standard difficulty. This adjustment will not affect existing save files; new games will receive additional starting funds as compensation. Additionally, the update will relax camera restrictions in Photo Mode, add hidden quests, and improve issues related to multiplayer desynchronization and host capacity.
