YouTube creator Dreamcore predicts that Path of Exile is poised for a new wave of growth following the launch of the 3.30 update and the expansion of the development team. This is a judgment made by the content creator based on available information, not an official business result announced by Grinding Gear Games.
Game Director Jonathan Rogers previously stated that Grinding Gear Games would not lay off staff after the completion of the Path of Exile 2 campaign. Relevant developers will shift their focus to endgame content for the sequel or the first game, so the development team for Path of Exile is expected to expand.
Developer Octavian described version 3.30 as a major endgame adjustment. The team plans to touch upon as many existing league mechanics as possible, adding new elements to content that has lacked changes for a long time, including Scarabs and gameplay strategies that have remained relatively static for years. Hints from other developers also involve bosses and content outside of maps.
Dreamcore also speculated that a version 4.0 might be released in the future, but this claim has not been officially confirmed either. Version 3.30 is scheduled to be revealed during ExileCon 2026, with the livestream set for November 6 and the update planned to go live on November 13. Whether the update can drive the game's long-term revival will still depend on the quality of the content and the release pace following the team expansion.
