PlayStation has announced the "Prism Collection" accessories for PS5, including the DualSense wireless controller and PS5 console covers. Both products feature a high-gloss transparent appearance and come in three colors: Flare Orange, Emerald Green, and Graphite Gray. They will be released in different markets starting February 4, 2027.
The design team stated that this collection stems from players' anticipation for the return of transparent controllers. They aim to reinterpret the transparent design trend of the late 1990s in a modern way, while continuing the monochromatic and futuristic feel of PS5 industrial design.
The controller's transparent structure extends from the front to the back, revealing parts of the internal components, while the central decorative cover features a metallic texture and different surface finishes. Flare Orange emphasizes bright colors, Emerald Green presents deeper layers, and Graphite Gray has a cool tone.
The DualSense "Prism Collection" will be launched globally with a suggested retail price of NT$2,720 or HK$639. PS5 console covers will be sold in limited quantities through selected retailers, with a suggested retail price of NT$2,380 or HK$563. Specific release dates and availability may vary by country or region.
This update focuses on transparent materials and three unified color schemes, without involving DualSense features or PS5 hardware specification upgrades.
