The Legend of Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma admitted that he feels very nervous about the release of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remastered. He remains uncertain about how the public will ultimately evaluate this classic adaptation.
Eiji Aonuma stated that the younger developers involved in the project played a crucial role in making this remake possible. They considered how to adapt the classic in a more suitable way, focusing on whether players would find it enjoyable once they picked up the controller, bringing new ideas to the project.
The development team faces the expectations brought by the original's influence while also aiming to provide a modernized gameplay experience for players encountering the title for the first time. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remastered will launch on Nintendo Switch 2, scheduled for release on November 5, 2026, coinciding with the 40th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda series.
The themed console and Pro Controller are scheduled for release on October 29, with two amiibo figures planned for launch in 2027. Amazon Spain previously opened pre-orders at €59.90, a price specific to certain regional retail channels.
