PUBG Esports has announced reforms to its 2027 competitive system, featuring a realignment of regions and a shift to four independent stages throughout the year. India will become an independent competitive region for the first time, with performance in each stage determining whether teams qualify for the corresponding PGS event.
As announced on October 28, the original EMEA region will be split into three regions: Europe, Eurasia, and MENA, while the Americas will be divided into North America and South America. The season will no longer follow the 2026 tournament cycle; four stages of regional leagues will sequentially determine qualification for PGS 1 through PGS 4, with teams not automatically retaining their spots for the next stage based on previous performance.
PGC qualification points will be uniformly renamed to PUBG Esports Points and can only be earned through team performance in PGS events. Regional leagues remain a mandatory step for entering PGS but will no longer directly award PGC points. The Global Partner Program will shift its focus to in-game items and market collaborations, requiring all teams to earn their PGS slots through regional league results, with no more automatic qualifications.
The preliminary schedule will run from Stage 1 in late March through November, with the PGC expected to take place from late November to early December. Specific point distributions, regional league formats, and complete qualification rules are yet to be announced.
