OpTic Gaming completed the Prestige Master speedrun for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. Following the game's launch, multiple professional esports players and content creators took turns operating a shared account, ultimately reaching the maximum multiplayer level in 132 hours.
OpTic later released the account's stats: over 3.8 million cumulative leaderboard points, a kill-death ratio of 1.27, and a win-loss ratio of 1.07. Compared to the speedrun time, these two ratios quickly became the focus of player discussion.
Some players believe that even with top-tier players, many of whom are Call of Duty world champions, sharing the account, the kill-death ratio remained at 1.27. This may suggest that the skill-based matchmaking system consistently pairs players with others of similar skill, causing long-term stats to gradually均衡ize. However, this interpretation is purely speculative among players and does not indicate that the developer has acknowledged any imbalance in the matchmaking system.
Infinity Ward and Activision have previously stated their desire to maintain fairness and balance in matches as much as possible, keeping most players' stats within a similar range. Win-loss ratios are harder to attribute solely to individual skill, as match outcomes are also influenced by teammates' performance and objective completion. What is confirmed is that OpTic's speedrun took 132 hours, with the shared account ultimately reaching the maximum multiplayer level.
