Mox Nox, a 3D sword-fighting action game developed and published by Nox Fabrica, launched on Steam Early Access on October 28. Players take control of a female swordsman known as the "Last Reaper," wielding a greatsword to face off against relentless waves of enemies.
Combat emphasizes timing, requiring players to parry and defend against attacks before exploiting openings with direct strikes and phantom magic that creates shadow clones. Enemies react to the player's fighting style, so relying on the same attack repeatedly is not a reliable strategy, and some tougher foes will cast various spells.
The current Early Access version only features single-player arena combat, with the core loop revolving around repeated battles and character progression. Launch content includes 5 unique large bosses, 8 types of mini-boss variants, and 31 regular enemies. The developers plan to continue expanding the game's content and story over the next 16 to 24 months.
