Battlestate Games has launched Halloween-themed limited-time content in Escape from Tarkov. A deadly virus is spreading across Tarkov, with the Laboratory Quarantine Zone and Old Factory Quarantine Zone becoming the core stages for story missions. Players must either fend off the Infected or search for materials to create a vaccine.
Players can stay in regular maps with relatively controlled risks to eliminate the Infected and maintain quarantine lines, or enter the infection centers to gather vaccine materials. Only a small number of players are allowed into these two event zones, and the insurance feature is disabled.
The Infected are divided into three types: Fast, Slow, and Ranged. Related combat mechanics have been rebalanced, and stealth attacks have been added. The infected Tagilla will appear wielding a long-handled scythe, while infected Black Ops members and more active Cultists will increase the risk of nighttime combat. Completing story missions and eliminating the Infected rewards players with event posters, in-game resources, and exclusive achievements.
Meanwhile, Escape from Tarkov: Arena has introduced the Bloodlust mode based on CheckPoint. This mode features 5v5 team battles with all firearms disabled. Participants will wear masks paying homage to classic horror movie slashers and engage in melee combat. The mode offers double rewards for combat and kills, as well as a 1.5x boost to Battle Pass progress; completing special quest lines also grants the "Unmask" achievement.
