Some players discovered an anniversary event entry on the original Death Stranding page in the Xbox Store, leading to speculation that Death Stranding 2: On the Beaches might soon announce an Xbox version. However, the page does not directly mention the sequel or a port, and Kojima Productions has not yet officially confirmed any related news.
The event is titled "BEYOND THE STRAND," scheduled from October 30 to December 20, 2026, and tagged with "Announcement" and "Global Event." Its name and timeframe align with Kojima Productions' 10th-anniversary exhibition. The studio has previously used the same brand for live streams featuring game news, which forms the main basis for player speculation.
Death Stranding: Director's Cut suddenly launched on Xbox Series X|S in November 2024, at which point Kojima Productions had fully secured the relevant intellectual property rights. This experience has also drawn attention to the current event entry on the store page.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beaches launched on PlayStation 5 in June 2025, followed by a PC release. Current clues from the page only confirm that the anniversary event is worth noting, but are insufficient to prove when the game will arrive on Xbox.
