"Duskborne" Delayed to 2027 as Rules and Balance Continue to Be Adjusted

FromSoftware has announced that the Switch 2 exclusive multiplayer game Twilight Bloodline, originally scheduled for release in 2026, has been delayed to 2027. The project has entered its final adjustment phase, and the team will use the extended development time to continue refining the game's rules and balance.

The developers stated that during the network test, players showed active interest in core concepts such as combat, strategic depth, and player expression. To further strengthen these aspects, the development team decided to incorporate feedback from the public test and extend the development cycle. They apologized to players waiting for the game and thanked them for their patience and support.

Twilight Bloodline was unveiled at the Switch 2 reveal event in 2025. It is a new multiplayer-only title from FromSoftware, differing from the traditional impression formed by the studio's works such as Dark Souls and Elden Ring. Game Informer gave positive reviews after participating in a hands-on preview, and player feedback following the closed network test was also generally positive, although servers were not always stable during the testing period.

This delay does not mean the project has been canceled. The official release month or date for 2027 has not yet been announced; currently, it is only confirmed that the team will use the additional time to continue adjusting rules and balance.
