Bungie Confirms No Destiny Announcements at This Year's TGA; New Chapter Still in Development

Bungie confirmed that no Destiny-related news will be revealed at this year's The Game Awards, nor will there be any sudden unveiling of a shocking new logo in the near term. The next phase of content for the series is still in preparation but will not make an appearance at this year's TGA.

Bungie确认今年TGA不会公布《命运》新消息 新篇章仍在筹备

A few months ago, Bungie announced that Destiny 2 was coming to an end, sparking concerns among players about the future of the franchise. Since then, the studio has stated in a large-scale online event that they are "not done with Destiny" and confirmed that a new chapter for the series is in development.

However, this does not mean a new game is close to release. Bungie actively lowered expectations for recent announcements, clearly conveying that there will be no franchise announcements at this year's TGA, rather than indicating that future plans for Destiny have been canceled.

Currently, Bungie is continuing with its plan to bring back Destiny 2 content, preparing to reintroduce previously removed campaigns, activities, and other content, with the first version expected to launch in early 2028. The studio also mentioned the Destiny "Legacy" project, which has limited information available; further details are expected in February 2027, but the specific content of this project has not yet been confirmed.
